At Gold Blade Fencing Center we not only promote a high level athletic performance, but high academic achievements as well. Our coaches are in constant communication with the nation's top universities coaches as they recruit fencers for their NCAA program. (REWRITE)

KAYLEY FRENCH

Kayley French started fencing when she was 12 years old. She competed in her first tournament after only 2 weeks of lessons, and she competed in her first national fencing competition after only 2 months of fencing. Shortly thereafter she began competing internationally.

JARED SHACKELFORD

Jared Shackelford started fencing in Seattle after watching his brother fence, and deciding he liked the idea of stabbing other people. He was first a foilist, but being 6'2", he realized he was better suited to epee. He moved to Texas and fenced for quite a few clubs, starting with FIT, then moving to LoneStar Fencing, then to the Grapevine Texas Fencing Club, which later became Gold Blade. He now fences for the Brandeis University Fencing Team and constantly confuses them with his bizarre stature as a left-handed french grip user.
