EXTRA - EXTRA - READ ALL ABOUT IT:
Gold Blade Fencing Center is very pleased to announce that Mike Haley has joined Coach Moh as an owner of the club.
Mike has been fencing for two years and competes in Veteran’s, Division II and Division III competitions. Mike’s son, Alex (16yrs old), has also been an active club member fencing at Nationals, Junior Olympics and many other tournaments. Alex is currently a freshman at the University of North Texas.
Mike is a retired army officer with 20 years service during which time he commanded paratroop infantry in the 82nd Airborne Division and is qualified as a Master Parachutist and Ranger. He holds a Master’s degree in Information System Management, and BA’s in both German and Russian languages. Mike also served as an Adjunct Professor for the University of Maryland in Bonn, Germany and Washington, D.C.
Mike has owned two companies prior to joining Gold Blade – H3 AirTours Flight School and Haley-Murray Residential, both operated out of Temple, Texas. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with ratings in the Lear Jet 60 and Falcon 20 aircraft as well as being named a Master Flight Instructor of which there are fewer than 400 in the entire U.S.
Mike is currently employed as an Aviation Safety Inspector with the Federal Aviation Administration at Alliance Airport, Fort Worth and enjoys flying his own airplane when he is not working or fencing.
As you can see, Mike has a lot of experience to bring to the club and has been working together with Moh over the past few months on plans to help take Gold Blade Fencing Center to the next level in service for our members and to ensure a healthy future for the club.
CONGRATULATIONS MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are thrilled that GBFC has grown significantly in the number of fencers participating in competitions.
In an attempt to become a more cohesive “TEAM” at events, especially National events, you will be receiving a notice in the near future to discuss and implement a “GBFC TEAM” plan to coordinate flights, who’s staying where, equipment needs while on strip, coaching needs, and overall team support. Mike Haley, Allison Koester, and Luann Gatts will be spearheading this effort.
*
We have new GBFC Picture albums for the club!!!
If you have pictures you would like to contribute to the albums, please label them and put them in the office.
