GBFC Will be Closed Monday January 1st
I can’t believe it is already 2007!!
This past year has been full of exciting change for me and Anita and GBFC. First, I want to thank Russ, Tilly, Ken and Lorinda for giving me the opportunity to own the fencing club. Second, I want to thank each and every one of YOU for all the supportive emails and comments you have shared with me. That means so much knowing there is such a great group of people cheering us on and wanting GBFC to succeed.
There are so many things I want to accomplish with GBFC. Such as plans for new coaches, big tournaments and camps, upgraded floor equipment, more advertising, more structured group fencing, growing club membership, etc. All of which take time and money but I’ll address each issue as soon as possible. But MOST important is to maintain the fun and unique training environment for each of our club members.
Lastly, your comments and suggestions are always welcome. We may not implement every idea that comes our way, but they could trigger other ideas and will be a source of information on areas we may be overlooking or that may be of particular importance to you.
Other Issues:
One of the best ways to show your support is to please be timely in your monthly payments. Payments are due on the 1st and are payment for that months membership. As we head into the New Year, you may want to consider a 6 month or annual membership which provides a 10% discount from straight monthly payments. Additionally, we still have a few lockers available for rent and equipment for sale.
REMEMBER: This is YOUR club, so please be mindful to take care of it, pick up after yourself, and also label your equipment so it doesn’t get accidentally misplaced.

(you should already know if you qualified and are going to Junior Olympics).
I will be arranging for some concentrated training for those interested prior to JO’s. Times will be announced/posted at a later date.
