LET’S GET GOING… TIME TO START THE NEW FENCING SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome back to the 2007-2008 Fencing Season beginning Sept 1, 2007

 

GBFC had an outstanding 2006-2007 season, but we are anticipating an even BETTER season for 2007 – 2008!

 

There are already tournaments to sign up for on askFred;  NAC’s to prepare for; and more club events to look forward too.

It is up and running and ready for your viewing.

 

Please take the time to look at our new “style” and continue to send us those pictures to add to our GBFC picture albums and comments to help us make it better.

We hope you like the new look and we are committed to keeping it up to date and making it a more useful tool for planning your fencing life.

 

MEMBERSHIP DUES:

 

A reconciliation of member accounts has just been completed. 

Everyone must sign a new copy of the club   Membership Agreement   for this season, and pick up your account invoice for the new fencing year for payments that begin Sept 1, 2007

Late fee of $25 applies if received after the 5th of the month.

 

FOCUS POINTS:

Continuing to focus on the needs of ALL of our members (not just competitive fencers). 

 

Providing additional training and specialty programs to prepare for National tournaments

 

Formalizing our “Tournament Team” approach

 

Scheduling Skills Academy and footwork session.

 

Increasing Membership

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

We would like to say FAREWELL to one of our fencing family.

Taylor Smariga is leaving us to attend Portsmouth Abbey School in Rhode Island. 

Taylor has been a strong fencer in our club for several years and is truly like family to us.

We wish her the VERY BEST, and please stop in to visit whenever you’re back in town.

There will be a Farewell Party for Taylor Tues Sept 4th at 7:30.
