Parents check it out to see if there are any events your fencer would like to try.

For USFA purposes, we are in the Southwest Region and the North Texas Division if you want to narrow your search.

Summer National Team Events:

GBFC will have both a Men’s and a Women’s Epee U19 Team and Senior Teams qualified for Summer Nationals.

Coach Moh will be selecting the team members, so if you are interested in participating on a team let him know.

YEAH …. It’s finally arrived!!!!

GBFC is now accepting credit cards - Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. CC’s can be used for monthly membership fees, equipment purchases, and payments for other special events/items.

Coaching fees are still to be paid directly to your coach.

REMINDER: Monthly membership fees are due the 1^st of each month. This is VERY important as all our bills are due on the 1^st of each month. So unless you want to fence in the dark or without A/C -please pay on time. Late fees apply after the 5^th of the month.

Class Schedule Update:

Skills Academy Classes: 6 – 7pm Mon and Wed.

Beginner Classes: 6 – 7:30pm Fri.

Open Fencing: 6 – 9 Mon – Fri.

COST: $210

TIMES: 9am – 5pm (lunch included each day)

WIN NEW FENCING EQUIPMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Fencers Wanted!

Gold Blade Members, we want you to bring new members to the club.

Bring the most new members and win new equipment. Top three who have new members join the club win the following:

1^st Place = New Epee/Foil Mask ($70 value)

2^nd Place = New Electric Epee ($48.50 value)

3^rd Place = new Three Weapon washable glove ($20 value)

Contest starts APRIL 1^st and ends JULY 15^th.

Finishing place determined by the GBFC fencer/member who has the most new members sign membership forms with GBFC. In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by Coach Moh and Mike.

CLUB POLICY for TOURNAMENTS:

*GBFC members must have a GBFC patch on their Jacket sleeve when fencing at ALL tournaments (local, regional, and national). If you do not already have one, they are available for $10 in the office.

*If there is more than one GBFC member at a tournament, all GBFC members should keep equipment bags together and congregate in the same area to show we are a unified team.

*GBFC members should watch and support other GBFC members during their bouts.

*The GBFC Competitive Team members should know how to work on their own equipment or ask coach for assistance.

*Please consult with Coach Moh if there are any questions or concerns

Equipment Lockers:

We now have a few equipment lockers available.

Cost = single $10/mo, double $15/mo.

If you are interested in renting one, please see Moh or Mike.
